Is she playing hard to get… or is she giving you the bullet?
Okay so we’re always told that girls like to play hard to get. Isn’t that in their dating manifesto? But sometimes it’s tricky to understand where she’s coming from coz the girl’s been sweet but keeps dissing your attempts at going on a date. Maybe she’s playing hard to get, which means you’ve gotta keep at wooing her (complimenting her, being nice to her and so on, you boys know the drill). But maybe she’s just not interested! Have you ever thought of that option? I know, I know, it seems crazy that she wouldn’t be interested in you out of all dudes, but I mean… there’s only so much playing hard to get that a chick can do before she cracks and gives in, right? But how do you tell the difference between a chick who’s playing hard to get to lure you in – or the chick who is not that keen?
1. She’s playing hard to get if… she does enough to show you interest
There has to be at least some show of interest when you like someone – it’s almost impossible to give no clues. So think of your crush’s behaviour – does she reciprocate your flirts? Does she still sms you, even though she keeps you waiting a few hours? She has to meet you halfway so you know you’re still in the game. If you reckon she is, then it’s probably a good idea to take things to the next level – after some flirting, ask her out so the frontin’ can stop.
2. She’s giving you the pink slip if… she goes MIA
You phone and then she never calls you back. You keep asking her out and she’s always busy. After a while of playing the game, any self-respecting girl will be letting you in because she knows if she gives you too much of the cold shoulder, you’ll lose interest. And if she’s secretly interested in you, she won’t want you to freeze on her. So, if you’ve been trying to call her for a week now and she never calls back, or you’ve asked her out a few times and she’s never down for it (even though you got tickets to Prime Circle, her fave band), then that’s probably a sign the game is over. But hey, her loss, right? Most definitely!
